Vytis competed in another Bi State regatta this past weekend. We finished in 6th place on a Friday night filled with no wind, huge holes and a lot of frustration after the wind filled in from the opposite direction about 100 times in 2-3 hours.
We only finished about 25min behind the section winner. Here is the track.

Sunday we awoke to 20 knots out of the North West and had a sleigh ride home. We averaged 8+ knots to cover the 55 miles in just over six hours. Only four boats beat us across the finish line in the entire fleet (two 80 footers and two 40+ footers). We could not tell who the next 105 to finish was.
This concludes the 2011 Distance Series. We should have results soon. Vytis probably did not finish in 1st place, but I imagine we are in for a flag.
Next up: Sheldon Clark, the final installment of the Offshore Series and the entire 2011 racing season.
