After a few weeks of work Vytis is finally ready to splash. The new boom has been rigged, the bottom sanded, keel fixed and the hull cleaned. We will have a short list of items to be completed in the harbor, but all in all we are ready to sail.

The target date for the delivery is Monday the 9th of May. This is weather permitting, but as of today the window appears solid. If you would like to join us let me know.
We added a few items to make deliveries easier. Gyt installed a DC cigarette adapter in the cockpit so we can charge cell phones and Ipods on Deck. Now we will be able to pull weather data and navigational charts without depleting our phone batteries; an added bonus is that cell reception is much better on deck than below.

Thanks to Mike and Andy for making a special trip to the yard at 7am last week to make sure the boat was ready for our splash date. We couldn't have gotten it done without the extra help.
Beer can racing should begin the week before Memorial Day. Our first cruise will be determined soon. The racing schedule is posted on the
Vytis Calendar and most of our
Crew spots have been filled for the summer's racing action. Everyone is looking forward to another successful and fun season on Lake Michigan.
